Visit my studio in Ivy Hill for some one on one beginner pottery instruction! These classes are great for people who have never tried the potter’s wheel, folks who want to re-awaken a hobby and people who nurse frustrated memories of wobbly pieces from their high school pottery class. I am an encouraging, fun instructor; my goal is to make art more accessible and inviting, even if you think you’re “not creative.” I’ve got the clay, the tools and the playlist; just bring yourself and an open mind. 



**My studio has capacity for 2 students at a time; the rates below are per person with the exception of the Claydate.** 



CLASS DESCRIPTIONS


Single Drop-In, $90. One 75 minute class; you’ll learn how to center the clay and create a simple form (bowls, cups, etc.). You can expect to make 1-2 pieces; you select your glaze color(s), work is available for pickup within the month. 



Claydate for 2, $175 for two people. Book a cute, educational claydate with your bestie! One 90 minute class; you'll learn how to center the clay and create a simple form (bowls, cups). You can expect to make 1-2 pieces; you select your glaze color(s), work is available for pickup within the month. 



Throwing & Trimming 2- Class Bundle, $175 (recommended for first timers). Two 75 minute classes; you'll learn how to center the clay and create forms (bowls, cups, mugs, planters, etc.), with the opportunity to hand-build additional elements (handles, decoration). The second session focuses on trimming and finishing your work. You select your glaze color(s), work is available for pickup within the month. 



Throwing & Trimming 4-Class Bundle, $350 (for returning students only). Four 75 minute classes. You’ll have an opportunity to throw as many times as you like, trim, carve and decorate your work. Students are invited to explore hand building, attaching handles or creating sculptures. You'll need to take the single drop-in class, or the 2-class bundle, as an introduction.

COVID - I’m fully vaxxed & boosted, you are as well, please! Classes are masked and in an open, ventilated space. 


Payment - I take cash or check (preferred), or (includes additional fee) Venmo (@cxmpdx) or PayPal (@cxmproductions). Cancellation Policy - There are no refunds on gifted, pre-paid classes or cancellations made in under 24 hour notice. 



Equity Fund - Creativity is a human right. Add a $10-20 "tip" to your tuition and contribute to a sliding scale program that allows me to offer significantly reduced rates with a focus on traditionally marginalized folks in our community.
