Visit my studio in Ivy Hill for some one on one beginner pottery instruction! These classes are great for people who have never tried the potter’s wheel, folks who want to re-awaken a hobby and people who nurse frustrated memories of wobbly pieces from their high school pottery class. I am an encouraging, fun instructor; my goal is to make art more accessible and inviting, even if you think you’re “not creative.” I’ve got the clay, the tools and the playlist; just bring yourself and an open mind.
**My studio has capacity for 3 students at a time; the rates below are per person with the exception of the Claydate. For additional fee I can reserve your time slot as a private lesson, otherwise often there will be 1-2 other students when you book the single drop-in, 2-class bundle or 4-class bundle.**

LOGISTICS
COVID Protocol - I disinfect the studio after each lesson. I’m fully vaxxed & boosted, and require students to share proof of vaccination before we begin. Classes are masked and in an open, ventilated space.
Payment - I take cash or check (preferred), or (includes additional fee) Venmo (@cxmpdx) or PayPal (paypal.me/cxmproductions / @cxmproductions). There are no refunds on gifted, pre-paid classes or cancellations made in under 24 hour notice.
Tips / Scholarship Fund - Creativity is a human right. Accessibility is one of my core values, and accessibility to the arts in particular is very important to me. Add a $10-20 "tip" to your class fee and make it possible for me to offer classes to folks who don't typically have access to ceramics/pottery at a significantly reduced rate.
